He focuses on interventional (minimally invasive) procedures for coronary artery disease and heart valve disease. Coronary stenting, chronic total occlusion (CTO), TAVI for the aortic valve, and MitraClip and TriClip for mitral–tricuspid valves are performed in Istanbul at Medical Park Florya and Liv Hospital Topkapı.

Cardiology and interventional cardiology

Prof. Dr. Hakan Uçar serves as Chair of the Cardiology Department at Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Medicine and sees patients at Medical Park Florya and Liv Hospital Topkapı.

A substantial part of his work focuses on coronary artery disease and heart valve procedures. Before deciding on an intervention, he reviews the patient's history and whether that procedure is truly needed.

He also provides physician training in valve procedures such as MitraClip and TriClip.
